Internet Service

Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus, including classrooms and dormitories. Login details will be provided.

Restaurants & Cafés

Numerous affordable and diverse dining options are available on and near campus to suit any taste and budget.

Money & Expenses

Credit cards are widely accepted, and ATMs are easily found. Carrying some cash is also convenient.

Transportation

Payment Methods

You can pay public transportation and taxis with:

  • Physical transportation cards (T-money) purchased at convenience stores; recharge with cash at kiosks or stores.
  • Apple Pay now supports T-money, allowing contactless payment without tangible card.

Bus

Buses serve various campus gates. Main lines include:

  • Green Buses: Local routes around campus (e.g., 1111, 7211, 성북20).
  • Blue Buses: Longer city routes (e.g., 173, 144, N51).
  • Airport Limousine: Direct from Incheon Airport to Korea Univ. (Sungnye Elementary School station, 6102).

Taxi

Taxis are plentiful and safe. Standard taxis start at KRW 4,800 and can be booked via apps like Kakao T. For a hassle-free airport pickup with foreign language support, you can also use Seoul’s official Foreign Tourist Taxi service (International T), which offers a flat fare of KRW 90,000 to Korea University.

Seoul Climate Card (기후동행카드)

A monthly eco-friendly pass for unlimited rides on Seoul buses, subways, and public bikes (“Ddareungi (따릉이)”).

65,000 KRW / month
Valid In
All Seoul buses, subways, and bike stations. (Not valid for services outside the Seoul network or Shinbundang line).
How to Purchase
Subway ticket offices and nearby convenience stores (GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, etc.).
How to Recharge
Use the ticket recharge machines located inside any subway station.
Validity Period
30 days from the date of your first recharge.

Health & Wellness

Mandatory Health Insurance

All applicants are required to obtain and submit proof of health insurance covering their stay in Korea. Registration could be canceled if the required documentation is not received.
